Whether you’re an experienced artist or a beginner, this course will empower you to embrace vulnerability, experiment with your style, and create paintings that are genuinely and unmistakably yours.
Course Goals
- To introduce students to fundamental techniques and concepts.
- To explore various mediums
- To develop students’ ability to create compositions, understand color theory, and express their ideas through creativity and expression. –
- To provide a broad understanding of traditional and contemporary styles and movements.
- Create a cohesive portfolio that reects technical skill and personal style.
Materials Required
- Acrylic paints (basic set)
- Oil paints (basic set)
- Watercolor paints (basic set)
- Brushes (variety of sizes for each medium)
- Palette (mixing surface)
- Canvas (variety of sizes)
- Watercolor paper (variety of textures)
- Palette knives, rags, and sponges
- Easels (either table-top or standing)
- Mediums (for oils: linseed oil, turpentine or odorless mineral spirits)
- Sketchbook (for preliminary drawings)
- Reference images (for still life, portraits, landscapes)
