How to Apply for an EAA Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

1.Artistic Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing your best work is the most critical element. Guidelines:

  • Medium: Painting, drawing, sculpture, digital art, and photography.
  • Quality: High-resolution images that best represent your skill and artistic style.
  • Diversity: show off versatility across different styles or techniques.
  • Originality: Your work should demonstrate creativity, innovation, and a unique voice.

2. ⁠Personal Statement or Artist Statement (250 words): A written statement explaining:

  • Your artistic journey, influences, and inspirations.
  • What your work represents or aims to convey.
  • Your long-term goals as an artist.
  • Why you are applying for the scholarship and how it will support your future career goals.

3. ⁠Letters of Recommendation: Typically from teachers, mentors, or professionals who can speak to:

  • Your artistic talent and potential.
  • Your dedication, work ethic, and growth as an artist.

4. Resume or CV: Highlight relevant experiences such as:

  • Art exhibitions, competitions, and awards.
  • Workshops, classes, or programs attended.
  • Community involvement, such as teaching art or participating in public art projects.
