Dr Fola David

Faculty: Drawing, Painting

He is a master charcoal pencil user, He creates his art with a focus on socioeconomic issues and on skin conditions especially those that affect the black skin and has done several exhibitions of his artworks across the globe. He has worked with several organisations to help propagate the use of art in raising awareness on skin diseases.

He is Nigeria’s Foremost Speedpainter having the ability to create colourful portraits upside down in less than 5 minutes. A form of performance art called Speedpainting for which he received nationwide recognition from the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and was also featured on all of the President’s official social media pages.

Abisola Kuburat Gbadamosi​

Faculty: Painting

Abisola Kuburat Gbadamosi, widely known as AKG, is a Nigerian visual artist. She is the founder of AKG ART Ltd. and Nature Meets Art, platforms dedicated to fostering healing and self-reflection through art. In addition, AKG co-founded AgSg, serves as the President of her alumni association, and actively mentors and privately tutors emerging artists.

AKG has participated in over 35 distinguished exhibitions across Lagos and London, showcasing her work in prominent venues and establishing her as a notable figure in the contemporary art scene.

Oscar Ukonu

Faculty: Drawing, Painting

Oscar Ukonu resides and works in Lagos Nigeria. Through an iconography of personal and cultural references, Ukonu’s distinctive style is one of investigation; crisscrossing gender, religion and sociopolitical dimensions in examining complexities of African identity and pride. His approach in portraiture interrogates sociohistorical influences on contemporary identities, viewing them as dynamic and evolving constructs.

Dotun Popoola

Faculty: Drawing, Painting

DOTUN POPOOLA is a synergetic metal sculptor who has carved a niche for himself with his polychromatic scrap metal sculptures. He had his Bachelors and Master’s degree in Fine and applied arts
with a specialization in sculpture and painting respectively at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Dotun has won several awards, including the Director General’s Award of Best Artist of the year in the maiden NYSC arts competition in 2009.

Abdulwaduud Afolab

Faculty: Painting, Drawing

Abdulwaduud Afolabi, popularly also known as MrWaduud, is a renowned cross-disciplinary artist from Lagos, Nigeria. His art, marked by vibrant colors and thought-provoking abstract and portrait works, challenges conventional narratives. He paints around themes of advocacy, self-actualization and exploration, using his work to drive reflection on personal growth and the human experience. With over 100,000 followers on Instagram, he promotes and curates content that inspires his fellow creatives.

Ken Nwadiogbu

Faculty: Drawing, Painting

Ken Nwadiogbu is a Nigerian multidisciplinary artist who lives and works between London, United Kingdom and Lagos, Nigeria. Initially trained as a civil engineer, Nwadiogbu pivoted to fine art, where he first gained acclaim for his hyperrealistic charcoal drawings. His artistic journey has since evolved into more conceptual works that engage a diverse array of techniques. He now holds an MA from the Royal College of Art, London.

We will work together with the EAA to ensure Nigerian Artists have the access, training and capacity building necessary for success in the creative ecosystem.
